I have put in a dedicated gallery script to make it easier to add wallpapers.Once you are in the gallery you can right click on an image (when viewing the larger images) and than save them.

Some wallpapers may be slightly larger than 640x480. Crop them to your taste.

The gallery works fine with the native Backflip browser and with Opera Mini. You can download the images directly to your phone.

Or you can scan the barcode below with your phone and your phone's browser will take you to the gallery.

I have found that the selection/crop box that you get in the picture gallery works better than the one you get when you use the select wallpaper from the menu or by long pressing. When viewing an individual picture press the menu key and select More, then Set as, then Wallpaper.
