Android 2.1 - additional settings
After the Andropid 2.1 upgrade there are other settings that can effect the sound output, so while you sre in the Call settings menu:
- make sure that MOS mode is unchecked
- Tap on TTY Mode and when the sub-menu pops up check that TTY off is selected.
When the music player is running using the volume control should adjust the media volume, in some cases the app becomes disconnected from the proper volume control and is adjusting the ringer volume instead. Exit and restart the app, if that does not work try power cycling the phone.
Headphone mode stuck
Try plugging a headset into your phone - do you hear sound over the headset? If you do unplug and plug in the headset, check each time you unplug to see if the phone's speaker is working. The phone may have gotten stuck in headset mode.
Audible Touchtone Volume
If you have audible touch tones turned on and are wondering how to control their volume you will need to adjust the phone's system volume. To do this you will need a third party app such as Volume Control.
