Network Issues

If you can not receive MMS messages or are having problems connecting to the internet call AT&T support (or your carrier if not AT&T) or go into an AT&T store. Many times these issues are a result of a faulty SIM card or your account setup.

If the account previously had data blocked you will have to make sure this is cleared. This could be the result of parental controls being set or a block that you asked for when you did not have a smart phone.

If you block data you can not receive MMS messages.

There have also been reports of blocks being carried over when you get a number that was previously assigned to another customer who had blocks set up for that number.

Make sure you check with your carrier first if you are having data connection problems.

3G and WiFi not working

If your phone can't seem to connect to a data network, either 3G or WiFi try putting it in airplane mode and then taking it out. This seems to reset the network connections and is quicker than a power cycle. Just long press the power button to to open the phone options menu and select Airplane mode.
