Google Sync Issues

If it seems like your phone will never stop syncing with Google first turn off Google sync temporarily.

Menu->Settings->Google synchronization

Uncheck Background data and Auto-sync.

This is in case it is a problem with the Google servers. If you turn off syncing and then try again later and still have the same issue then you have to dig deeper.

Clear Google Apps Data Cache

Menu->Settings->Manage applications

Scroll down and find the google app that is giving you problems. Contacts, calendar or gmail. Tap the program and clear the data for that program. Now find the entry in the applications list for storage for the program you just cleared. For example, if you cleared calendar you want calendar storage. Tap on that listing and clear the data.

You may have to re-enter your gmail info if you clear the data for that.

Now enable syncing and see if the process completes.

Other possible calendar issues

If you still can't sync with your google calendars while in the calendar app got to:

Menu->More->My calendars

one at a time uncheck each calendar and see if the problem is solved. If it is then there is an issue with the calendar that you will have to fix on the google calendar page. If it is a calendar you created you can delete it and create it again. You can export the calendar to keep from losing it's contents. The exported data can then be imported to a new calendar.

If it is a calendar that you subscribe to you can unsubscribe and then subscribe again.
