Applications behaving badly

If you have recently installed an application or recently changed the settings for one of your apps it may be the application causing problems. There can also be cases of two apps that work OK when only one is installed, but cause problems when both are installed.

In some cases when an application has an adverse effect on the way your phone works removing the app does not cure the problem. If you uninstall, power cycle, etc. and the behavior is not fixed you may have to reset your phone to cure the problem.

Application Cache

Clearing the application cache may solve the problem

Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Select application

You can see if the program has anything stored in cache and clear it.

Uninstall

You can uninstall apps in the Android Market or from the menu under Manage Applications.

Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Select application

Remove apps that are related to the phone function you are having problems with starting with the latest installed.

After Removing/Clearing

If you remove an app or clear the cache and you still have the problem try power cycling and removing the battery again.
