If your Backflip does not display the weather information in tabletop mode make sure that the weather widget is on one of your home screens and that 'show weather' is turned on in the tabletop clock settings..
Tabletop mode turns on when the Backflip is open at about 90 degrees.
Weather Doesn't Display
If the weather information does not display:
You do not have 
on one of your home screens.
If you have a weather widget on the screen and the weather is not showing
While in tabletop mode tap the menu key
tap weather settings
make sure that 'show weather' is checked.
