Introduction

My mobile phone is my portable computer when I'm out and about. Some of the things I do on my mobile phone are jots down notes, keep a daily journal, make a grocery list, etc. and all of these things can be done in one app; Text Edit by Paul Mach.

Market Summary

"Simple notepad app to open, edit and save text files to and from the SD card."

The app currently has between 50,000 and 250,000 downloads and 4.5 out of 5 stars from 1156 user ratings.

Installation

TheText Edit download is listed in the Android market as being 126kb in size. I installed and opened Text Edit on my Motorola Cliq XT quickly and without issue.

Usage

Text Edit operates like any normal text editor. But, the thing I like most about it is that it opens and saves files directory to and from the SD card so you're not using precious internal memory. I also like the fact that you don't have to save a text file to internal memory first and then copy it to the SD card like some other text editors in the market.

Final Thoughts

Text Edit is free from the market and it's clear that a lot of thought went into creating this app.I use Text Edit for a great many things. Many thanks to Mr. Mach for this wonderful app.
