To use the numbers you program into SDOS you enter the number using the dialer and then press call. Long pressing a number does not dial with the exception of the number 1 calling your voice mail, which is built into the phone.

Speed Dial Old School is convenient and works well.

Customer Service

I installed the lite version of this app to test it. The lite version allows only one speed dial entry attached to the number 5. I liked it and wanted the full version, but could not find it in the Android Market. Because some applications require a higher version of Android I checked the MapleKey Company web site and taht the application would work on Android 1.5.

At this point I e-mailed Maplekey at the feedback address listed in their web site. After exchanging a few e-mails with them SDOS was visible in the market to my Backflip. Thanks, Steve!

That's excellent service to make a $1 sale. A sale that I still had 24 hours to back out of.

Summary

Speed Dial Old School is an application that does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. Coupled with the excellent customer service I got from the developer and I can definitely recommend Speed Dial Old School to Backflip users.
