Using AnyCut to create shortcuts is covered in this article.

You can uninstall AnyCut after you create the battery info shortcut and the battery info shortcut will still work.

Battery Information - Built in

You can view detailed information about the battery on your Backflip:

This is built in to your Backflip, but can not be normally accessed easily.

AnyCut

AnyCut is an app that allows you to create shortcuts that you can not create using the standard methods on the Backflip. It is free in the Android market.

Making the Battery Info Shortcut

Before running AnyCut navigate to the screen you want the shortcut you are creating to be on.
AnyCut creates new shortcuts on the screen that is current when you run it.

Run AnyCut from the applications menu and you see this start screen:

Select New shortcut and you will see:

Select Activity and you will be shown a list of the 'Activities' available:

The list of activities may take a few seconds to load. While they are loading you will see a spinning circle at the top right of the screen where it says 'Choose an Activity'.

You can scroll through the list to find the Activity you want to create a shortcut for or you can type a few letters on the keyboard to search the list.

Select Battery info and a pop up will display allowing you to edit the name of the shortcut. Edit the name to your liking and select OK.

You will be taken back to the AnyCut start screen and if everything worked you will see the status message 'Shortcut created'

Contact Shortcuts

You can use AnyCut to create direct dial or direct text shortcuts also.

After running Anycut just select Direct call or Direct text message and then select a contact from the list that pops up. You can open the hardware keyboard and search the list or long tap the menu key to use the virtual keyboard.

Speed Dial Folder

The direct shortcuts that Anycut creates will dial or open your text app with one tap. You might want to create a folder for your direct dial shortcuts to prevent accidental dialing.

Use your shortcut

The shortcut you created can now be accessed just by tapping it.
