If you can't get the upgrade to install or you need to redo it you can try this method:

1. Rename the file update.zip and copy it to the root of your sd card.
2. Power off the phone, press and hold camera button ( do not release), press power button until phone turns on.Release power button while holding camera button down.
3. Release the camera button when prompted (following the Batwings boot screen).
4. Press the volume down button and wait for 15 seconds for a "triangle !" to appear on the screen. The message “volume up key pressed “ will appear if you are on android 1.5, the correct message appears if you are on Android 2.1.
5. With flip closed, tap bottom right corner of darkened display (just above back button).
6. Select apply sdcard:update.zip
7. Press OK
8. Agree to whatever prompts follow and when the process is done ( I have not done this so I don't know the exact prompts you will get)
9. Press "reboot system now"
10. Press "Ok"
11. Phone will reboot
